People who drink about 4 cups of green tea a day seem to get less cancer. Now we may know why. This morning,I wear two shirts.Yesterday morning was a little cold.In the morning,there is thick fog.One shirt cannot keep heat.
The Bangladesh labors rise up early in the morning.It’s about 5:00.They have to spend nearly 2 hours in their journey to our site.So when they appear in front of us,they wear caps and scarves.Today,Mr YAO approved their request that they can arrive at our container office at 8:30.That means they can sleep half an hour more in bed.NICE.
I get up 7:30-40 in recent days.
NOW I NEED TO READ MY LITTLE ENGLISH-CHINESE DICTIONARY.I used it in my college English test.

These days I introduce the mechanical work to a Bangladesh supervisors every mornig.This job is easy,and it’s also not easy sometimes. When a installation is going on,I have to invite the supervisor to check the work.And when the work is finished,I should get his signature on a inspection paper.That means a work is really completed.
Today,a section circular cooling water pipes was partly finished except backfilling.IN the design drawing,the backfilling material should be coarse sand.But the construction personnel use soil.That’s not suitable.But I cant persuade them.I am a little personnel. I dont know what my supervising friend will see and say tomorrow.
In work,one will contact with many sides of peple.Profit is all what a person want.IN many situations one’s honest is throwed away. Deceit made this worl much complex.We can live simple life and be comfortable in our heart.

These days,a Bangladesh company workgroup is doing the cleaning work of gas pipes.This afernoon they are beginning to bury them under earth.The gas pipe is much thicker than cicular cooling pipe,for the reason of safety and high pressure.
While common steel pipe dont need to make groove at the junction end for welding,gas pipe must makes it.Groove(also called beveled edge) is cut for the use of firmly union by welding.
The little device which makes the groove is roundly fix beside the mouth of pipe.It consist of 3 main parts.The first is flame nozzle which spray out high-temperature flame cuting off steel edge aslant.The second is a chain which go around the pipe.The nozzle is fixed on the chain and it go on it like a train. The third is some gears and screw which make the nozzle move on the chain.

LONG TIME NO SEE

LONG time no writing.It’s really hard to keep on doing something.The last time I wrote my diary was on Nobember 14th.Almost a month has passed. That days I feel nothing is valuable to record.And I indulged in the PC game of warcraft.A lot of time was wasted.I pray for the forgiveness of my soul.
These days,I introduce on-site work about mechanic to Bangladesh supervisors.When some work was finished I will request them to check and sign on inspection documents.
Today the steel structure frame is basically completed.All steel columns,beams and bracing were fixed firmly with high strenth bolt jiont and welding connection.
Circle colling water pipes were embeded underground all these days.Excavate-paint-wrap cloth -align- weld -backfill.Before backfilling,I should request superbisor to come to inspect.The quality points are the thickness of painting,airtight pressure test and backfilling materials
Two big fuel gas compressor and assorted motor had been lied down on foundations.The foundation is supported by four columns.The bottom level of these two foundation is even higher than my height. Normally,a foundation will made just on earth.The foundation is constructed above ground.It’s because fuel gas go in and out of compressor from the bottom of this machine.Two pipes(inlet ang outlet) will be fixed to the interfaces which are designed in the bottom.
And another important work is installing colling tower equipments.The tower is consisted of three units.The size of each unit is 6*6 meters.A unit includes fans,top-open cylinder,motor, reduction gearbox,water gathering system,water distribution systems,plastic filler, etc.Fan drive steam up and out of tower,and in the process sprayed hot water confront cool steam.The steam bring heat out of tower.Today,they fix the distribution pipes.
It’s very late.I should go to bed.

Eight o’clock at Night,we 11 Chinese people went to Joshima’s home.Tonight is his sister’s marriage eve. Joshima is 20 and is our site’s excellent labour.He invited me 20days ago.The date changed,but I promised him I will go na matter what time.
We drive a little bus there.12 people crowd all the bus space.And the special one is Babu,he is the highest-salary labour.He know enough electric knowledge to do his on-site job.He direct the way. We arrive at 9:10.
The night is very interesting and funny.We bring 5 cameras and so take many photoes.The bride is very beautiful. Tonight she wear colorful adornment.Jorshima told me his sister is 17. Joshima said his sister is on school in the final year. When she get 18,she will go to her husband’s house.She shake hands with each of us with elegance.We capture some photoes standing close to her.As Moslem creed,woman cant stay with strange man.So after several minutes,she left.Joshima take out fruits ,biscuits,orange carbonated drinks and coco juice.Very Hospitable. Joshima’s family has his Mom,sister and little brother.His dad died when he was 14.He had to left school to earn money to support his family.He is a smart guy.
About 20 people sitting in a narrow room cause much hot heat.After eating some fruits,we leave Joshima’s house temporarily to other labour’s home.In the hamlet living about 10 our labours.They invite us to their home.We would like to see their living scene. These friends are very happy and many kids and teenagers follow us. Every time we go one’s home,they take out drinks and fruits and biscuits.It’s a manner of hot welcome.
Seeing 3 friends’s house,we back to Joshima’s home.And it’s 11:30.The groom is just beginning in ritual.Wear Moslem tradition white clothes and a white cap.He stand on his knees and then sit down with legs coiled.We donot know the meaning.
Yes,in the night we see many beautiful girls.Young ladyes wear makeup in India fashion.That include a red point in the middle brow,long and brunette brows,red lipstick and white face.They sure give me deep impression.
The most lively active thing is dancing!Dance what you like,all by yourself! Banggladeshi really like dancing and singing!It makes people brisk happy and forget anything except the dancing.I cant realize the real meaning but they are sure happy with themselves.And they pass happy to the surroundings.
Because we need to work the coming moring,we leave at 00:00.The big dance has not formally began.I am willing to stay little long time but my colleagues want to go.I donot work under their boss.I work in another department.And their boss call them back times after times.
I reach my room nearly 1:00.My roomate has not go to bed.My head is not clear and a little faint.Bath quickly. and fall asleep soon.

Today I spend much time in office,reading some electrical documents about gas turbine.I feel not many things I can do on site.These days I arrange two labours clean the site’s main roads.They are in my age level,but have little education.They know little english,so I have to say some things with my gesture.
Do you see large stell pipe for underground drainage and cycle system?These days a group of people are welding some cycle water pipes.These pipes should be firstly removed the rust with abrasive wheel, inside and outside.Then varnish epoxy-tar paint.These steel pipes are transported from China.Stored for about 2 months they get on thick yellow rust.But I heared some German steel material is good enough in anti-rust that it will not rust for 8 years even though being exposed to atmosphere.These pipes are used to connect cooling water pond and pumps.Cooling water is pumped to cool hot machine,like generator and compressor
OH,just now,I have a cool water bath! It’s not my wish.There is no hot water today.Must be something wrong with the heater.HAHA,it’s not so bad.

What did I do today?Too little to say.A ordinary day.
Let me say something about the food in Bangladesh.Firstly,I want to tell you that 1 dollar is equal to 7 yuans or 70 TKs.The prices are about the same level in Ban. and China.Do you know,we Chinese eat rice and dishes with chopsticks. But Bangladeshi eat food use their fingers! Just like Indians.That scene almostly nauseate me at first!Why not chopstick or fork? But I should respect one other nation’s custom.It’s just custom.
In a shop near our project site, a kind of cake costs 3 TKs.A labor may buy 4 to 5 pes for lunch. Because the way to home from work site is so long that it would spends 2 hours.Some carry lunches at morning.We Chinese only buy some drinks from this shop.A bootle of mango drink which contains 250 ml costs 20 TKs. It’s more expensive than Coca cola drink sold in China.Yes,there are red grape juice and carbonated drinks.I like mango and grape juices.There are some strange smell in their carbonated drinks.
Their lives are not easy. I see they often eat rice and pumpkin.May their lives get better.

Today I want to say something about power plant’s main machine hall frame.The hall frame is consisted of 25 steel columns and many steel beams which link these columns.All these columns and beams are made in the shape of “H”.Like bigger ones of rails. These steel frames are transported here from China.
Columns are used for support.Beams make the frame more strong.These columns are consisted of two or three segments respectively.Every two segments are assemblyed vertically at site via steel plates and bolts. There are rows of holes on the conection ends of the to-be-assemblyed segments.And the same holes( in number and size) are drilled on two plates which are used to connected the two segments.Each side bolt a plate with many bolts which go through two plates and the segment between them.
The 25 columns support the whole quadrate hall which cover the main machine sets.A double rail for motor hoist will be put on the “branches” of the columns at the level of 12 m high.Columns are installed on reinforced concret pillars’ platforms with thick bolts.
Yes,these assembly and installation work need one or two cranes’ help.

But I learn from 163.com that today the Internet has served human for 40 years.The first connection of two mainframes is happened in the University of California at Los Angeles on 29th Oct,1968. Internet has vastly affected and changed our lives.Many Thanks.Nowadays I can read blogs of people at thounsands of kilometers away.With the help of net,I can chat abroad with my friends on QQ(a popular instant message software in China,likes MSN) by ways of word ,voice and video.
Just wanted well english understanding,you can handily tour around the world.And you can see the comments of foreigners to your nation.Because of severe monopoly in media in China these foreign comments are very important to see the government more clearly.And in web forums,I learn a lot from people’s stories and comments.I can also post my own opinion on a same topic many people are concerning about.It’s great to speak out your opinion in public.And it’s great to communicate with a group of people.Communication makes people grow so is it in countries. This afternoon,Mr. Wang and I climb up the old power station via steel stair.Wang is our office’s boss.He wants to take some photoes at the high level of some 22 metres above ground. Standing at the top flatform,I see most of the Chittagong city.Two large rivers converge at the city’s most bustling point.Above this point stands a large bridge which I have said before.And I see the concrete pump truck working.All the site is in my view.
At night,I play basketball again.But I am not so happy this time.Firstly,I just have had bath before playing.Secondly,I was washing my clothes when I went there.Thirdly,I wear a slipper when playing.When I come back,I have to wash more clothes because my new-wore T-shirt and shorters get wet by sweat. And,bath again!You may ask why I need to went to play.That is because my biggest boss at this site would play it tonight.And my older colleague Yao calls all my roommates going to play.I should not go.Half the night is ruined.
Now,calm down myself,see some sites and I am ready to sleep.

On site,engineer HE is doing the project of burying copper bars.These bars are used to conduct electricity which would emerge from electical equipments and thunder.These bars are classified into two kinds of copper bars.One is round which is knocked down into deep earth.The other is of strip which is horizontally buried in earth.These bars are welded together and compose a under-ground copper net.
At dinner,we eat crab! HAHA,very delicious! A crab has hard shell,eight legs and two pincers. You can eat the flesh in its body and pincers. Men’s tooth is much harder than cooked crab shell and pincers.The flesh is white and very soft.Yes,the cook should have excellent craft.I do like this food.

Today,I learn that we have to work from 8:00 to 12:45 at morning and 2:00 to 6:45 at afernoon beginning Oct 26th. My god! We now work between 8:00—12:30 and 3:00—6:30.Life is getting harder.I cann’t sleep at noon.And I should sleep before 12:30 at night.WTF!
At evening,I browse 163.com.There is a series of pictures about Ian who come to Iraq at 18 years old as a US amy soldier in 2008 and back in 2009.There are 100 pictures taken from the day of his senior high school commencement to the day of his marriage.Eyes open!

Get back from site nearly 7:00,when the night has fallen.Take off my shoes,work clothes ,wear slippers and shorts and then go to mess hall.Tired.
Do you like peanut.I eat some a handful of parched peanuts.Not bad.HAHA. A Bangladeshi man always sell peanuts at our apartment's gate.RMB 5 yuan per kg.It's equal to some 0.8 dollar.
We get another netword cable today.So Exciting!Although we have 4 people live in a room,we only have one cable.It’s not so bad feeling when your PC cannot conect the internet.I am using this cable!haha
Only a cable,you also cannot get information from the web.You have to get a IP which need payment every month.I use a colleague’s IP.He has come home for vacation.
Tonight,I print many papers by using Canon printer .This printer is connected to my PC wirelessly.All my colleagues can use it only if your PC is connected to the web and that your PC has instaledl its driver.It can also copy paper and scan paper.If the price get lower,I even want to buy one.so convenient!

I have just come back after playing basketball for about 1 hours and forty minutes.I have said before we fixed two big light on the playground.Since some days not play it,I have so much energy that when my roommates all want to come back I still is willing to play.HAHA.
At daytime,our site’s only concrete pump truck gets some problems.Concrete casting has to be stopped. Speaking to concrete,do you know the importance of concrete to a building?Below the ground of any large buliding there must be some long deep reinforced concrete columns. These colunms supports the foundation of a building.You should know,pure concrete gets broken easily.Roop hollow column of reinforcing steel bars makes it much stronger.Concrete has an excellent performance of bearing pressure and resistance to corrosion.There must be enough thick concrete to cover the steel bars or they will rust and get ruined.
Concrete pump truck is really powerful and useful! It has a long arm consisted of five parts.Each part has a hydraulic drive glossy alloy column bar.These round bars can stretch out and draw back which makes the arm higher or lower,nearer or further. And the point is four steel pipes are fixed on each part of the arm and one rubber pipe is hung at the terminal. Concrete is pumped like water through the pipes to wanted spot! It’s sure astonishing when you see this huge machine the first time.

At morning,when I get up my head was whirled.At breakfast,I ate little porridge.I feel I caught a cold. But I had to go to work.
All morning my head ached！

AM 7:30,my phone alarm clock ringed.I reluctantly got up. How nice it would be if only ten more minutes sleeping!The sunlight shined every places and I felt a little hot at this morning!
Breakfast was noodles.I find myself don’t like it. There are two kinds of noodles.One is made of wheat powder and the other is made of rice power.The former one cooked is soft and ropy. The other is crisp and smooth.When I was a middle school student I ate smooth noodles every morning.But afer I went to university I almost ate breads (steamed with meat in it,is white) every moring. Now I prefer sweet steamed bread to noodles.But Bangladesh didn’t sell the ferment powder.Last time we bring some from china.It’s used up.So we seldom made bread.Hot fog-risen meat bread,I just like you all the time!
A new group of engineers come to our site.They are in charge of installing equipments.Big craine lifted large heavy machine in the sky!With the help of crain,workers fixed steel framework on concrete column in which two rows of bolts were buried.
In Bangladesh,the sunlight is abundant.So is the rain in summer.Many times it’s raining and the next hour the sun is shining hot.On site,we just wear safety helmet.I don’t like the sunshine.It made me black day after day.
Since I have just graduated,learning is my major job.But I feel the stress because of non-achievement.Every day,I find time to learn.I wish I could be competent for my job at an early date.

I said we come Bangladesh for building power station.There is an old power station already.But it cannot afford the electricity requirement.So we have come to build a 2-size larger one. This new plant is nearby to the old one.Two plants both use natural gas as fuel.The old station is nearby to a big river. On this very river we went to Chittagong by boat.These two plants stand beside a road which reachs the river bank’s edge.
A few days ago,two large flat-top ships carried steel frames,”H” style steel pillars,steel ducts and so on to our site.They are anchored besaid the bank.Yesterday,some equiments have been lifted to bank from one boat.Today,work are going on.I also carry a pen and two paper to record what things were moved to our site.These equipments are all made of steel plate.People cannot move it around.We use crane and large truck.
I nearly forget to say one importent phenomenon that the river’s water level will rise at noon and fall after PM 4:00.That’s because this river is near sea and is influenced by tide.

Today,when I come off work back home I see some guys are playing basketball.There are several days not playing it.I wear work cloths and shoes.But I don’t change them and go to play excitedly.Four men including me are roommates and one is new man.He come here several days ago.He is as tall as me.We jump and run and sweat wet our shirts.Yes,it’s after sundown. We play in the light of two big lamps.
When we come back.Many guys are eating dinner.There are only some left food.We eat at mess hall.But almost every time I eat my food in the dorm.There are many people in the mess hall at eating time.And I really prefer to see some things in my PC when I have the meal.
The bad thing of playing basketball is that every time you have to wash you clothes.I wash my clothes about every 3 days. Now,after write down these words I feel that I need sleep. So is today’s note.

The most impressing thing was that we project administer department members went to Chittagong downtown at night for dinner and singing songs.
We went there first by boat! OH,We as a team initially had 7 people.When we reach a hotel two colleagues joined us. It is a wooden boat which can contain 10 people,and is driven by a motor.The night had no moon.But the wind from sea was breezing comfortably.In the far place,there were many twinkling lights.We sat on the boat’s crosspieces.Riding on waves,the boat swayed slightly.In order to feel fully the soft wind I stand up for a few seconds. HAHA, SO COOL.
On the way,we crossed under two big bridges.The two were next to each other.One is newly built by Chinese corporation.The other one is an old bridge.But they are the same in tall.The new bridge is surported by four big columns and is pulled by thick steel ropes which were joined to four high concrete pillars.It’s really a grand building.On this big river,so many ships anchored on the surface.I even luckily saw two fish ships,beside which were two boats which loaded white fog-rising ice lumps.The ice lumps were used for keeping the fish fresh.As our boat went on,we passed closely to one and one ships.Then we reached the dock.The water level was low because it’s ebbing.
Going ashore,we got on three-wheel bikes.These bikes are very common in Bangladesh.It can contain two adults.The traffic was very congested and disordered.After we arrived at “New market”,we got on anoter vehicle.A small motor-driven van.Normally it loads 3 people.AS we had 7 people,three got on one,and we four got on a behind one. I sat on my roommate’s thighs! And my head push the van’s roof upward.!After a long painful journey we got our hotel finally.
It standed on a hill.It’s very glorious campared to many other houses in the city.We went to the third floor. It’s decorated in Chinese style.The floor-manager is Chinese.In the center of the hall, there were a TV and a DVD and a monitor. Before our two colleagues come,we sang Chinese songs! My superiors like old songs,while we young people like fashion songs.The hall was rocked by our sounds.Yes,when we sang we drink cold beers.Beers make people passionate.
After our two colleagues come,we start to eat! It’s a boisterous feast.We drink many many beers,and the cans laid separately on the corner.We eat chicken,herring,pork,shrimp and others that I cann’t call out their names or forget them now.
Being drunk,we got on a small truck home.This truck blonged to our company.The driver was our colleague,one of the two people who come late.I sat in the back-container.Wind blew so heavily that I want to find some object for hiding. The driver drank a lot,and the road is scraggly but we safely got home. Quickly bathing,I went to my bed.So is the day.

I am a Chinese working in Bangladesh.I will write down days of my life here. In order to improve my English level I will try my best to write my diaris in English.There will be some not-correct grammar in my writing. Comments are welcome.
This morning,I get up at 7:30,ate breakfast quickly and then walked to my office at site.When I arrive at our office,I found all my colleagues had arrived.Putting down my PC bag,I went to the site to see what have done in last night. Our job is administering a project erection at Chittagong,which is a peaking power plant.And the capacity is 150 MW.I come here on August 20, so it’s about two months I have been in Bangladesh.
When I finished a round look of the site constructions and went back to my office two Bangadeshis said hello to me.I said back and went ahead.But one man stopped me by holdding my stretching hand.I know them.They had something to do and I was recognized as a engineer.They led me to their destination.All the thing they had to do was removing the thick sands on eight columns in which pre-buried some big bolts.Their problem was they didn’t bring tools like spade and hoe. It’s not my duty.Mr Yao helped them.Mr Yao is my colleague.People call him YAO BOSS.He is a funny guy.
At noon,I was the last one getting out of our office.So I had to lock the door. Most of the time Yao locks the door.The lock is a chain rubber-wrapped lock.Trying several times I finally faild to lock it.I run fast to catch Yao because he has the key. Without use the key YAO lock the door easily. I got confused.”The problem is just the plastic sleeve.Seeing carefully,it pops out.”Yao said.
Before we leaved our office at 6:30,a person will clean the office floor.At this time,we will chat outside in shade.Our department emploied some local labors.They do some simple and heavy work.This evening,a dog squat in front of our office.We asked a labor weather they eat dog meat. The nice labor laughed and said they did not eat.But in China,many people eat dog meat.Very common.Just like pork or beef.Do you?
After bath,I washed my clothes with washing machine.My body is tired ,so is my head.I will see some videos.There are many movies in my PC,most of them produced in Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

This morning,I get up at 7:30,ate breakfast quickly and then walked to my office at site.When I arrive at our office,I found all my colleagues had arrived.Putting down my PC bag,I went to the site to see what have done in last night. Our job is administering a project erection at Chittagong,which is a peaking power plant.And the capacity is 150 MW.I come here on August 20, so it’s about two months I have been in Bangladesh.
When I finished a round look of the site constructions and went back to my office two Bangadeshis said hello to me.I said back and went ahead.But one man stopped me by holdding my stretching hand.I know them.They had something to do and I was recognized as a engineer.They led me to their destination.All the thing they had to do was removing the thick sands on eight columns in which pre-buried some big bolts.Their problem was they didn’t bring tools like spade and hoe. It’s not my duty.Mr Yao helped them.Mr Yao is my colleague.People call him YAO BOSS.He is a funny guy.
At noon,I was the last one getting out of our office.So I had to lock the door. Most of the time Yao locks the door.The lock is a chain rubber-wrapped lock.Trying several times I finally faild to lock it.I run fast to catch Yao because he has the key. Without use the key YAO lock the door easily. I got confused.”The problem is just the plastic sleeve.Seeing carefully,it pops out.”Yao said.
Before we leaved our office at 6:30,a person will clean the office floor.At this time,we will chat outside in shade.Our department emploied some local labors.They do some simple and heavy work.This evening,a dog squat in front of our office.We asked a labor weather they eat dog meat. The nice labor laughed and said they did not eat.But in China,many people eat dog meat.Very common.Just like pork or beef.Do you?
After bath,I washed my clothes with washing machine.My body is tired ,so is my head.I will see some videos.There are many movies in my PC,most of them produced in Los Angeles and Hong Kong.
